Basically, its like Tribes or BF1942, but moreso. The persistence really adds a certain zest, not unlike Jagermeister.

The ammount of shit that happens on screen at times amazes me. The best battles I've ever been in have been those bridge battles. It is truly amazing when all at once you have rockets and missiles, machine gun fire, maxes blazing, reavers whizzing overhead, and orbital strikes, and everything happening all around you.

I'm having more fun than I thought I would. This suprised me quite a bit.

I find a lot of it has to do with your outfit. My old one was ok for awhile, then got lamer as time wore on.

Being a Wookiee has really revitalized the game for me. Unless you're some sort of hardcore lonewolf, a good.. or at least active outfit makes or breaks the game IMO.

I'm almost full support. Adv engy, medic, Deliverer/Sunderer, AMS, Med assault. All I need now is sniper and Adv Hacking, and my character will be complete.

I love my character. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Pop, you need to change the system requirments.

Start it with what they say, then put in what the REAL requiments are. I played it 512 megs of ram, and beleive me, that isn't enough. Currently I have 768 megs and its just playable, but still stutters sometimes, espeically if I have been playing it for a few hours.

The game is only truly playable with 1 gig of ram. For some stupid reason, that's the magic number. Any amount of horsepower and video cardage in the world doesn't do jack until you have one gig of ram.

I have 448 megs of ram. I have very few problems and am playing at maximum detail.

I dropped PS after the free month, I felt the price was too much and the outifts I had joined all sucked big hairy doney balls. I was unwilling to pay the monthly fee in the hopes of finding a good one. I did see the potential there though, it's a damn fun game providing you've got a decent outfit and/or are lucky with finding battles but I just went through too many nights hot dropping or HART dropping into continents and spending an hour trudging around looking for a battle before being snipzored, run over or rammed by an enemy galaxy(i suck).

I guess you can add me to the "too expensive" camp as well. I know it can be a fun game but I refuse to pay that much for an FPS that I can't be sure I'm going to see much action in if I log on for an hour or two.

I have 512 DDR 2700. Sometimes it behaves, sometimes it doesn't. I do feel too useless in massive indoor battles when I drop to under 20fps. I just get jackhammered into last week. I've been meaning to pick up an extra stick of RAM anyway.

Not sure if it's worth the extra month. I'm mostly a solo hunter, but I like having the ability to chat with others and at least be in the same zip code during fights with some friends. If everyone quits after the free month, I guess I won't be long afterward either, which is kinda a shame. I still've barely touched on liberator bombing or prowling with you all.

It's far improved since beta. I'm used to BF42, CoD, and CS. Seeing a full battlefield with effective combined arms is a totally different experience. Great stuff. I give it 8/10.

That review was probably the best I ever read for the game. Everything you said about the forums are all too true (I followed the link on the PS forums to here) and the assement of the situation with game balance was suprising true coming from someone who had just started playing the game (again).

I enjoyed the review, and like the site. Think I'll be staying around here from now on.
