Female Versus Male Heroes: does sex make a difference?

1. It doesn’t matter and has no impact.
2. It does matter, but only on the sexual impact level. (Or, in common gamer tongue: I lik BooBZ! Dey sell GaM3z!.)

However, the argument has grown and new voices are being raised to challenge current reasoning. The average gamer has begun to mature and formulate different opinions about the sexual divide. No longer do I only hear about the size of Lara Croft’s unmentionables, but I also hear voices rising to defend the her strong personality traits and character. It’s a delicate balance, as there are still plenty of "nude raider" pictures out there, among other things.

In order to give credence to the opinions of both sexes, I’m going to format this article in a particular way. Throughout the text, I am going to quote from various comments made from articles within the www.womengamers.com website. I consider it only fair that both sides have their viewpoints stated.
